CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR WITH BOOKS!

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.  Back to school we come - ready for new and exciting things.  How about making one of your New Year's Resolutions to step outside your comfort zone and read a book in a genre you are not familiar with.  If you LOVE fantasy - try a mystery.  If you LIVE for Realistic Fiction, try Historical Fiction for once.  And don't forget about about non-fiction.  Try something new and exciting!

CONGRATULATIONS....DUCK!!!!

Recently, the students of PES got to experience the privilege of voting when the librarian held an election between two beloved book characters, each of whom have a "president" book.  The candidates were Bad Kitty (by Nick Brehl) and Duck (by Doreen Cronin).  These characters are VERY popular in the library and everyone, Kindergarten through 5th grade, was excited to vote.  Duck came out as the winner and is now the "official" president of the library!  O.K., Duck - no funny business!!!!
